VIU

It is the vehicle identification unit that is installed on the vehicle to store vehicle details.
It is connected to the odometer of the vehicle to detect fuel consumption per kilometer. The unit needs an 12V operation power from the battery of the vehicle.  As the VIU is connected to the antenna installed to the fuel inlet of the vehicle, vehicle installation of the unit is completed. OMA PS Vehicle Identification Units with odometer reading are currently being used in over 250,000 vehicles in Turkey and in over 2.000.000 vehicles all over the world.
VIU is the most advanced and secure vehicle identification unit.VIU has the international Vehicle Certification Agency cercificate, thus vehicle manufacturers approve the installation of VIU to their vehicles and continue providing standart warranty for their vehicles, since installation of different devices other than certificated ones may result in warranty cancellations.
Like the other OMA PS equipments VIU has the ex-proof certification, also certified with ATEX. Installed to the fuel inlet of the vehicle, VIUs are normally used in a highly explosive zone. Having internationally apporoved certifications and high security specifications, VIU is the choice of the biggest oil companies.
Since VIU is an active unit, it receives the power from the battery of the vehicle to be able to operate. When the engine of the vehicle turned off VIU is turned into sleep mode so that the battery or the vehicle is not used.
The information carried on the VIU is installed in encrypted mode. Therefore to copy a VIU or capturing the data from a VIU is impossible.
